Workers' Compensation Claims Administraion
Resource Management Systems, Inc. has been involved in managing workers’ compensation claims since 1985. Claims management plays a critical role in helping a company maintain reasonable workers’ compensation costs. Proper claims management will either maintain a good experience rating or will significantly reduce an experience rating. This experience rating has a tremendous impact on future premium costs. RMS believes that an aggressive approach can make the difference between a successful or costly outcome.

An RMS case manager is assigned to every reported claim and becomes the three-point contact between the insurance company, the company and the injured employee. Our Case Managers are prompt, knowledgeable and efficient and are an important asset during the claims process. Case managers review claims daily, review loss runs monthly and send quarterly reports to every client. An ongoing review of all claims provides your company with current and accurate information.

Current and accurate claims information also provides us timely recognition of loss trends that will influence your future workers’ compensation premium costs. All loss information identified through our claims review process is then easily transferred to our Risk Management Department for further assessment. Additional safety support and training can be provided to keep your employees safe on the job site.

RMS believes that an efficient and competent claims team utilizing current educational practices will improve your overall understanding of this important business responsibility. The education of timely claims reporting, for example, is a practice we believe is critical to the success of our claim management program.

The RMS program provides the following services in the workers’ compensation claims management area:
  • Case Managers assigned to every claim
  • Client/Insurance Company liaison for all claim issues
  • Claim cost and reserve amount closely monitored
  • Development and coordination of return-to-work programs
  • Client/Insurance Company liaison for all litigation matters
  • Quarterly loss runs
  • Adherence to Division of Workers’ Compensation rules and regulations
